Julian Storaï is a French artist living and working in Toulouse.
With a background in arts and literature, Julian came to painting through drawing, teaching himself along the way. From childhood, he has effortlessly sketched his surroundings, already demonstrating a natural ability to capture emotions and a unique sensitivity to his subjects. His painting is powerful and radiant yet intimate and vulnerable.
Julian creates his compositions using photographs, which allow him to capture an emotional intent. He then elevates it through painting, reinterpreting the scene with an unexpected language of color. Alternating between vivid and striking tones, then soft and fragile hues, his mastery of nuance forms the richness and depth of his pictorial vocabulary.
